Kumi Koda wins the Grand Prize from the Japan Gold Disc Awards this year! This is the second year Koda has received the award from Gold Disc; last year she received a "Triple Crown" award for her Butterfly single, netting "Pop Artist of the Year", "Pop Album of the Year", and "Music Video of the Year".
Gold Disc grand prize awards are based on CD sales. Koda has sold approximately 3.5 million units of her albums and 2.4 million units of her singles within the last year.
